Sharjah, Aug 28: Mitchell Starc took five wickets and James Pattinson three as Australia bowled out Pakistan for 198 on Tuesday in the first of three one-day internationals in the United Arab Emirates.

Pakistan made a bad start at Sharjah Cricket Stadium after winning the toss, slumping to 40-3 by the 10th over. Two half-century partnerships followed before Pakistan lost its last six wickets for 38 runs.
Asad Shafiq scored 56 while Umar Akmal hit 52. Misbah-ul-Haq (26) and Nasir Jamshed (23) were the only other batsmen to reach double figures.
Starc finished with figures of 5-42 from 10 overs, while Pattinson claimed 3-19 from 9.1 overs.
