Chittagong, Dec 6: Pakistan made a clean sweep of the ODI series against Bangladesh beating the home team by 58 runs in a 50-over match here today.

The home team had a tailor-made pitch for spin, which they put to good use to bowl out Pakistan for 177 runs, but the visiting spinners also used the same trick to pack off Bangladesh for 119 runs.

Bangladesh has been facing a losing streak against Pakistan for the last 12 years. Today, they had the chance to score a win, but their batsmen couldn't face the Pakistani spinners.

For Pakistan, Umar Akmal made 57 runs and Misbah ul Haq made 47, while ahmudullah took three wickets for 4 runs. Abdur Razzak took 3 wickets for 21.

In reply, Bangladesh were skittled out for 119 runs. Mahmudullah was the lone highest scorer with 35 runs. Shoaib Malik grabbed 3 wickets for 6 runs, while the dependable Mohd Hafeez took three wickets for 27 runs.

Pakistan's Umar Akmal was declared Man of the Match and Man of the Series.

The tourists, who won the first two matches in Dhaka to clinch the series, found runs hard to come by and they were all out for their lowest ODI score against Bangladesh after skipper Misbah-ul-Haq elected to bat in the day-night match.

Umar Akmal top-scored with 57 and Misbah made 47, the pair adding 94 for the fourth wicket after Pakistan were reduced to 39-3 by the 12th over.

Left-armer Razzak claimed three for 21 in 10 overs and off-spinner Mahmudullah grabbed three wickets in seven balls as Pakistan folded in 46.1 overs.

Pakistan made a shaky start, failing to score off the first 15 deliveries after Mohammad Hafeez was caught in the covers from the fourth ball of the innings.

The tourists lost two more wickets by the 12th over as Asad Shafiq was bowled by Shakib Al Hasan and Younis Khan was caught behind off Razzak.

Misbah and Akmal stayed together till the 36th over to rebuild the innings before Razzak struck twice in his eighth over.

Razzak had Misbah caught in the covers before taking a return catch two balls later to dismiss Shoaib Malik, who fell for zero in his 200th one-day appearance.

Pakistan slipped to 148-6 in the 41st over when Shahid Afridi holed out in the mid-wicket fence against spinner Elias Sunny after making nine.

Sunny also had Akmal stumped, before Mahmudullah took two wickets in successive balls in his first over and terminated the innings by having Abdur Rehman leg-before.
