Hello and welcome to our Live Coverage of the first ODI between India and West Indies from the Queen's Park Oval in Port of Spain. West Indies captain Jason Holder won the toss and asked India to bat. India have handed out the ODI cap to Kuldeep Yadav, the mystery chinaman bowler, while Ajinkya Rahane and Umesh Yadav come in for Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah who are rested for this tour. West Indies have included Devendra Bishoo in place of Rovman Powell. India will look to start the series with a win. Remember, a 5-0 clean sweep over the West Indies will help Team India climb up to the second spot in the ICC ODI rankings. Meanwhile, West Indies will look to play with positive intent against a much stronger Indian side.

With Jason Holder's men just about managing to draw the three-match ODI series against Afghanistan 1-1, there is no doubt that the current Indian side are a few notches ahead in terms of quality. Even Kohli knows that well and with BCCI top brass backing him on the Kumble issue, the margin for error is very little for the Indian captain. (Read Full Preview Here)
