Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma was seen cheering for her husband Virat Kohli from the stands at the picturesque Newlands Cape Town, where India play their first Test against South Africa. Anushka has many times been present at various matches, before the couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in Tuscany Italy on December 11. The cheering didn't last very long as the Indian skipper was sent packing back to the pavilion after being dismissed by Proteas spearhead Dale Steyn after scoring just five runs. Anushka was seen in the stands alongside Shikhar Dhawan's wife Aesha, Bhuvneshwar Kumar's wife Nupur Nagar and Rohit Sharma's beloved Ritika Sajdeh. The limelight was all on the Indian skipper who made a return to cricket after opting for rest during a limited-over series against Sri Lanka. In his absence, Rohit took the charge of the Men in Blue and lead them to a 2-1 series win in ODIs and 3-0 clean sweep in T20Is.

Skipper Kohli is making his return to the international cricket with India taking on one of the biggest challenges they have yet to conquer and that is a Test series win in South Africa.

It was newly wedded seamer Bhuvneshwar who rattled the hosts by taking three wickets in the opening session of day one of the first Test. South Africa had won the toss and had elected to bat first, but an early batting collapse saw AB de Villiers and skipper Faf du Plessis make a hundred-run partnership which took the hosts to 268 (all-out) in the first innings of the first Test. But two wives' smile in the stands didn't last long as Dhawan went for 16 and Kohli for 5.
