The recent claim by an IndiGo passenger of finding a screw in a sandwich served onboard sparked social media attention. While IndiGo addressed the issue, stating it wasn't reported during the journey, the airline expressed regret for any inconvenience caused.
Protest at Delhi airport: The passengers were seen up in arms in the main hall of Terminal 2 at IGI airport after IndiGo cancelled its Deogarh flight.
Mumbai news: As soon as information about this incident was received, the flying time of that flight was changed and a thorough investigation was conducted. An officer said that no suspicious objects were found during the investigation process.
The Delhi Police initiated a legal proceeding against the passenger for allegedly assaulting an IndiGo pilot while he was announcing information on delays.
Weather update: Airlines have requested passengers to keep a check on the status of flights on airline websites before leaving for the airport. Passengers who arrived at the airport but were not aware of the delays were seen sitting on the floors and waiting for an update from the airline.
This is not the first time that the airline has been pulled up by passengers. Earlier, an IndiGo flight from Lucknow to Abu Dhabi suffered a hydraulic system issue and made an emergency landing at Delhi airport, said sources.
The incident occurred on board IndiGo flight 6E 68 operating from Jeddah to Hyderabad. The flight departed from Karachi after completing formalities and landed in Hyderabad.
The incident took place when the plane was flying 15 miles from the runway of Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport, an official of Airports Authority of India said.

This is the seventh incident this year when a case has been filed for unruly behaviour by flyers.
