They were questioned separately Friday, police said.

The accused's interrogation was done under the supervision of Special Commissioner of Police S.N. Srivastava, police sources said.

The three were confronted with the nabbed bookies, audio recordings and other material evidence gathered by the investigators into the scam.

During separate interrogation Saturday, 11 bookies, all of whom are in police custody, were also brought before each other, sources said.

Delhi Police also conducted raids in several cities including Mumbai and Ahmedabad to track the money trail in connection with the alleged spot fixing racket, sources said.

In Chennai, Tamil Nadu Police said they expect to achieve a breakthrough soon in the cricket betting case in which six bookies were arrested Friday.

"We expect to achieve break through in the case soon. We also raided three premises here Saturday," a senior official of at Crime Branch-Crime Investigation Department (CBCID), who did not want to be named, told IANS.

Mumbai police are meanwhile keen to invoke the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) on all the accused, currently facing charges for cheating and criminal conspiracy, after complying with the necessary pre-conditions for this law, Roy said.

In a post-midnight swoop Wednesday, a team of Delhi Police's Special Cell had arrested the three cricketers for their alleged involvement in spot fixing in the ongoing IPL-6 season for payments of upto Rs.6 million for allowing a pre-determined number of runs in an over.

Investigators believe that fixing of different types may be prevalent in other matches in the current IPL and also in the earlier IPLs.

Ravikanth too has an unwise dream to be the kingpin by ruining Yashvardhan. In the interim Vishal and Ajay are left stunned when they learn that they are twin brothers who were parted in their teenage days.

So, will brothers unite or will they be dominated by the unwise tactics of the cops&#63 That’s how the story deals further.

Atul has picked up the old spices and served in into the new recipe which isn’t delicious. The execution over here is half baked.

The pace with which it goes is slow in the first half. The director shifts its gear and speeds up the momentum after the interim. The assassination of his son-in-law by Rishi Kapoor arouses some intensity. The political game between Yasvardhan and Ravikanth to grab one of the biggest building projects in town shows some association with the plot.

But just thereafter the flick starts losing its momentum as nothing is given a fine shape to admire or even remember. The shootout at the hospital where Jackie and Arjun are shrilled with bullets will amuse you because our hero without a mark on his head stands tall to hit back to the cops there.

The entire screenplay has numerous holes in it which are hard to fill. It all goes predictable and the dialogues go wacky.

Rishi Kapoor’s needless uninspiring Aurangzeb session comes out of nowhere and the emphasis given connects nothing to the title. The autocrat Mughal Emperor, had he been alive today, would surely have raised questions about the unnecessary tagging of his name and stature.

Atul tried to pay a tribute to the legendary Javed-Salim duo with his punch lines. Some dialogues sound hard-hitting and have impact, but a few go stale.

What could have worked was Ajay's character played by Arjun Kapoor which appears energetic and funny in every given scene. Unfortunately, he is kidnapped which may be the need of the script. But all the more, Ishaqzaade actor delivers a good act in a beam and boisterous look. He delivers his dialogues with the same charm and finesse he carried in his debut flick.

Rishi Kapoor loves to experiment and is ubiquitous in every second flick. Here the cop’s role suits him. He is the person in command and his dialogue delivery looks dominant. His greediness for kingship is admiring.

The South Indian star Prithviraj, who previously failed in his debut flick Aiyaa, finds some earth with his performance.

Debutant Sashaa Agha playing Arjun’s love interest flaunts well but needs some acting tips.

Jackie Shroff as business tycoon and a helpless father is good. His body language has an impressive aura and is compelling which is seen in the flick.

Amrita Singh, witnessed on screen after a long time plays good games to be the beneficiary in big projects.

Music by Amartya Rahut and Vipin Mishra is semi-perky. You would love the sufi track Jigar-Fakira while Barbadi by Agnee is soulful. The background score accompanies the scenes.

Niraj Voralia’s editing could have been better.

I’ll go with two and a half stars for Aurangzeb. This dramatical Aurangzeb doesn’t rule our hearts. You will be tempted by the performances but would just be thwarted by the final outcome.

New Delhi: So the BJP has once again become a victim of the political machinations of those very leaders who believe that elections are won and lost through creating right power equations in Delhi. It happened in Uttar Pradesh in the past and now it has been repeated in Karnataka.

History has been witness to the fact that a party that does not respect the contributions of its main architect, who built the party brick by brick in the state, is doomed to be condemned by the voters. This is not to say that if that person is indulging in corrupt practices, then you should turn a blind eye towards his unlawful activities.

But in a case, where you are aware of the fact that the constitutional functionaries are trying all the tricks in the book to defame and create problems for that person, then you have to be a little more understanding, instead of playing into the hands of his intra-party detractors, who are waiting in the wings to topple him.

But BJP, which claims to be the party with a difference, has got the worst kind of coterie that is ruling the roost at the central level. The party committed political hara-kiri first in Uttar Pradesh and then in Karnataka.

Let’s discuss Karnataka first. B S Yeddyurappa was the person who made the party from scratch in the state. He emerged as the leader of Lingayats, the biggest community in terms of electoral influence in the state.

The BJP reaped the harvest to the hilt and for the first time, and the party succeeded in forming a government in southern India for the first time.

It was a dangerous signal for the Congress party as the BJP could spread its influence to other states of the region.

As usual, the Congress party very cleverly used the office of the Governor to tarnish the image of Yeddyurappa and his image took a beating. Once your image takes a beating, every move of yours is looked at with suspicion and Yeddyurappa became a victim of negative public perception.

But more than the Congress, Yedyurappa’s own party members wanted to see the end of his innings as Karnataka CM.

Everybody knows that Ananth Kumar , who is very close to L K Advani, was never happy with BS Yeddyurappa’s ascendance to Karnataka’s CM chair. Despite not possessing any mass base on his own, he always considered himself to be the right claimant to the CM’s chair.

And then the rest of damage was done by none other than Advani himself. With an eye on NDA’s PM candidature for 2014 general elections, Advani started pushing for the removal of B S Yeddyurappa so that he could position himself as a true crusader against corruption.

This deadly combination of Advani and Ananth Kumar did Yedyurappa in. More than the corruption cases lodged against Yeddyurappa, it was the internal backstabbing that queered the pitch for Yeddyurappa.

According to some media reports, Ananth Kumar convinced the central leadership that Yeddyurappa’s exit will have no impact on the Lingayat votes but the elections results have proved him wrong.

Clearly, BJP has lost because of Yeddyurappa’s exit and Ananth Kumar and Advani can’t escape the blame for facilitating the demise of BJP’s first govt down south. But why did the central leadership listen to Ananth Kumar, an arm chair politician, over Yeddyurappa, a mass base leader&#63

The same thing had happened in Uttar Pradesh when Kalyan Singh, a mass base leader, was removed on the insistence of Lalji Tandon and Kalraj Mishra. Kalyan Singh had successfully devised a winning social engineering formula that provided for a backward caste leader leading a coalition of both forward and backward castes. With this combination, BJP used to sweep elections in UP in 1990s.

Both Tandon and Mishra, bereft of any popular support, connived to throw Kalyan out because they had their own ambitions for CM post. Atal Behari Vajpayee listened to them as they were close to him and unfortunately he turned against Kalyan who had to finally resign.

The party sacrificed a mass based leader because a few arm chair politicians convinced Vajpayee that there will be no impact on party’s electoral health after Kalyan’s ouster. And both of them were proved wrong.

Today the party is nowhere in the race in UP and is vying with Congress for the third spot, after SP and BSP. Both Tandon and Mishra had played a crucial role in sealing a tie-up with BSP that paved the way for the decimation of the party in UP.

So the story is very simple. Those who had no mass support presided over the decimation of BJP in two crucial states – Karnataka and UP. The party lost these two states just because it suited the vested interests of certain self-centred leaders.

Even for the upcoming general elections in 2014, leaders who have no mass support are busy with political machinations.

The entire rank and party favours Narendra Modi as the PM candidate but certain leaders , who can’t compete with Modi electorally, are working out various permutations and combinations to stop him from taking the centrestage.

If the party fails to make it again in 2014, then it will have its own arm chair leaders to blame and not the public or the opposition.

Nobody can help a party that has made up its mind to move on a path of certain political hara-kiri.

The reason: the airport doesn't have a licence, and it doesn't have Fire, Air Traffic Control or Meeorological departments working there, reports Mumbai Mirror.

In 2012,the AAI spent nearly Rs 25 lakh for the inauguration. In the name of amenities, the 630 acre-airport has only a terminal building that can accommodate a maximum of 50 people. The AAI is yet apply for a licence, and it knows that it can't get one, unless it has all the facilities in place.

Civil Aviation ministry sources said the AAI top brass decided to inaugurate even before it was fully equipped.

On the day of the inauguration, the authorities created a temporary ATC from a makeshift room on a truck, and fire tenders were arranged from two different airports.

It would be difficult for the airport to get a licence because of major technical issues associated with the specification of runways, sources said.

That is why, the AAI has not sent the licensing application to Directorate general of Civil Aviation (DGCA) till now.

In 1973, there was a small airstrip in Jalgaon maintained by PWD, which was handed over in 2007 to Maharashtra Airport Development Company.

Two years later, the state government signed an MoU with AAI to upgrade the excisting field, and in 2010, the President laid its foundation stone.

Two years later, the President inaugurated the airport, and since then there has been no flights to Jalgaon.

Ambati Rayudu top-scored with a 22-ball 26.

All the top-order batsmen except for opener Glenn Maxwell (0) and Dinesh Karthik (0) got the starts but could not convert them to big scores.

For Punjab, Piyush Chawla and Sandeep Sharma grabbed two wickets apiece while Praveen Kumar and Parvinder Awana took a wicket each.

Interestingly, Punjab captain Adam Gilchrist, who was playing his last IPL match today, got a wicket, the only wicket in his illustrious career.

Mumbai needed 51 runs from the last over and it was a mere formality. To the surprise of everybody in the stadium, Gilchrist stepped up to bowl the last over and got Harbhajan Singh’s wicket from the first ball.

Gilchrist bowled an innocuous off-spinner and Harbhajan slogged one-handed and the ball went straight to Gurkeerat Singh’s hand at long-on.
