Nikunj Malik gets death threats for choosing acting as career (see pics)

Nikunj who hails from Faridabad is starring in Anil Kapoor's 24 and will also be seen in the upcoming film Revolver Rani.




The 28-year-old actress has filed a complaint against her uncle and cousin for harrassing her and her mother, just because she has chose showbiz as her career.

According to reports, Nikunj Malik was facing the problem right from the starting of her career in 2010. Her uncles would come and threathen her parents, asking for her address in Mumbai. They said they would travel to Mumbai and bring her back.





As quoted by a tabloid, Nikunj said, "My uncle forced himself into our house and assaulted my mother. He told her: 'We came to your house and told you fours ways you could save yourself. You didn't listen to us; now you must face the consequences'."




"My mother even has a recording of the threats they gave her on the phone. It is only after hearing them that the police arrested my uncle and his son and filed an FIR," she added.

As the harassment continued, Nikunj finally filed a police complaint against her uncles in July at Sector 7 police station, Faridabad. As she couldn't follow up the case, so nothing much was happening on it. But this weekend she herself visited Faridabad to check the developments. Her personal visit made the complaint stronger and police acted on it.





Her paternal uncle Mahavir Singh and his son Amit Malik were arrested for threatening her family under the sections - 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 452 (trespassing with a plan to assault or restrain someone), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 507 (criminal intimidation by an anonymous communication) of the Indian Penal Code.

Even after the arrest of her uncle and cousin. Nikunj is still worried about her and her family's safety.
