New Delhi: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today said Trinamool Congress will continue to protest against the BJP-led NDA government in Parliament over what it claims is the political vendetta unleashed against the party in connection with the Saradha scam.  “We will continue to raise the issue (Saradha) in Parliament,” Mamata said after arriving in the national capital today.

Mamata is visiting Delhi to meet President Pranab Mukherjee, who recently underwent coronary angioplasty.  “Tomorrow, I will be going to see the President, who is not well,” she said.

“I will also be going to the Central Hall of Parliament to meet my friends and party MPs,” added Mamata.  Banerjee's visit to Delhi comes at a time when TMC has decided to intensify its campaign against the alleged political vendetta by BJP following the recent arrest by CBI of West Bengal Transport Minister Madan Mitra in connection with the Saradha scam.

Questioning the BJP-led government's intention, Mamata said, “Why only Saradha, why not other chit-fund companies which are also involved... Why not Sahara.” She further said that the Saradha chit fund started in 2006 while TMC had only come to power in 2011.
