Ahmednagar: BJP's Prime Ministerial nominee Narendra Modi today accused the Congress leadership of promoting “anti-democratic dynastic culture” in politics and termed the party vice-president Rahul Gandhi as an “egotist prince”.

“Sonia and Rahul have followed the anti-democratic dynastic culture and never feel that they are answerable to people,” Modi said addressing a public meeting here.  He was canvassing for incumbent BJP MP Dileep Gandhi who is seeking a fresh term, and Shiv Sena nominee from Shirdi seat Sadashiv Lokhande.

Reiterating the “Shehzada” (prince) barb against Rahul, Modi said, “Shahajade ka ahankar satave asaman par hai (the prince has an inflated ego)..Nation does not want rulers but servants in Parliament,” Modi told the rally attended by around 70,000 people.

Modi tore into the Congress-led UPA government for its “failure” on all fronts in the last decade.  “UPA government at Centre has failed on every front in last 10 years. It has become a burden on nation where the common people are fade up with the selfish politics of the government,” the BJP's PM nominee said.  He said people would vote to bring about a change in “political culture” of the country.

“BJP is a party with difference and will change India with planned efforts. I assure you to change the fate of nation in the next 60 months,”  he added.  Accusing UPA allies including NCP of “developing the culture of corruption and unaccountability in last decade”, Modi said, “In previous Lok Sabha elections, people were electing rulers, but in 2014 for first time in country's history, all Indians will vote for making India problem-free and strong”.

Exhorting young voters to vote for “change”, Modi said people have totally lost their faith in UPA government.  “...Hence 70 crore youths will shoulder the responsibly to rule and change India through coming NDA government at Centre,” he said.
