Jamshedpur: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today asked his BJP party workers to refrain from staging dharna or putting up road blockades unnecessarily, and ensure that government schemes are implemented properly.

Addressing party workers of his home constituency Jamshedpur East here, Das said people should first apprise their grievances to the officials concerned and approach him if they did not respond, as demonstrations and road blockades would not only harass people but also impede development work.

He directed BJP workers to give feedback about the implementations of the welfare schemes meant for the poor.

Das also directed his partymen not to recommend transfer of officials and rather involve in the developmental works to ensure rapid development of the state.

“I will neither make any recommendation nor accept anyone's recommendation,” the chief minister said.

Das said the government would recruit policemen and appoint 8,000 doctors and teachers soon.

The government would create a conducive business environment to attract investment in the mineral rich state to help generate employment opportunities, he said and sought suggestion from the people as well as BJP workers on the state budget for all round development.

Das said he had taken part in Vibrant Gujarat summit in Gujarat recently, where representatives of various nations expressed keen interest to invest in the state.

The five-time MLA on trot from Jamshedpur East said the chief minister's post is irrelevant for him as it is a temporary one, but he was and will remain a ‘sevak' of his constituency.
