New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit Fiji on November 19, a day after a bilateral meeting with his Australian counterpart Tony Abbot in Canberra.

The Prime Minister is likely to travel from Australia, where he will be attending G-20 meeting, to Fiji on a day-long visit on November 19, sources told PTI.

They said the possibility was being explored and the Prime Minister's meeting with the leadership in the island country in the South Pacific Ocean was being worked out.

This will be the first time Modi will be making a three- country tour, starting from Myanmar, where he will attend East Asia Summit (EAS) on November 12-13 in the Myanmar capital Nay Pyi Taw. From there, he will go to Brisbane for G-20 on November 15-16.

From Brisbane, Modi will travel to Canberra to hold a bilateral meeting with Abbott on November 18. This will be second meeting between the two leaders after Abbott visited India last month during which the two countries inked the civil nuclear cooperation agreement.

Modi, who will be the first Indian prime minister to visit Australia since Rajiv Gandhi in 1986, will deliver an address to a joint sitting of federal parliament, according to officials.

The Prime Minister is also scheduled to visit Nepal to attend SAARC Summit on November 26. Significantly, Modi had invited all the SAARC leaders for his swearing-in ceremony here on May 26.
