New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will leave for Myanmar tomorrow to attend the twelfth ASEAN-India summit on November 12 and the ninth East Asian summit on November 13, to be held in Naypyitaw, the Myanmar capital.

Modi will also meet Nobel Peace Prize winner and Opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi.

As part of "Act East" policy, Modi will seek to improve ties with ASEAN countries. He will also push India's case for greater connectivity, trade and people-to-people contact with Southeast Asia.

This will be Modi's sixth foreign visit this year, after he visited Bhutan, Nepal, Brazil, Japan and the United States.

From Myanmar, Modi will proceed to Australia and Fiji.

The Prime Minister will stay in Australia for four days. He will attend the G20 Summit to be attended by US President Obama and other world leaders in Brisbane.

Modi will be the  first Indian Prime Minister to visit Fiji after Indira Gandhi in 1981 and the first to visit Australia since Rajiv Gandhi visited the country in 1986.

Modi will be addressing the Australian Parliament and Indians living in Australia during his visit.

On his return visit, Modi will visit Fiji for a day, and return to Delhi on Nov 20.
