Patna: Bihar's ruling Janata Dal-United Wednesday suspended two of its MPs for six years for anti-party activities, a party leader said.
Purnmasi Ram from Gopalganj and Jai Narayan Nishad from Muzaffarpur were suspended by party president Sharad Yadav, JD-U spokesperson Sanjay Singh said here.
Purnmasi Ram was suspended after he praised Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad, convicted by a special Central Bureau of Investigation court in Ranchi Monday for fraudulent withdrawal of money from the exchequer in the fodder scam.
