Jammu: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today fly to Jammu and Kashmir where he will be addressing two election rallies.
As per the schedule, the Prime Minister's first rally will be held in Udhampur at 11:30 am.
Later he will fly to Poonch to addressing another rally at 1:30 pm. This will be the first rally of any Prime Minister in the region in last 38 years.
The second phase of polling will take place on December 2.
Surankote, Mendhar and Poonch Haveli constituencies in Poonch district, Ramnagar, Chenani and Udhampur in Udhampur district and Gulabgarh, Reasi, and Gool Arnas in Reasi district are going to poll.
In the Kashmir Valley, the constituencies going to poll include Devsar, Noorabad, Homeshalibugh and Kulgam in Kulgam district and Handwara, Kupwara, Karnah, Lolab and Langate in Kupwara district.
An unprecedented 70 per cent voter turnout was witnessed in the first phase of elections.
