Mathura: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today described unemployment among youth as a "big challenge" and said that the BJP government at the Centre was working to provide jobs "even to person who is last in the queue in society."

Singh was addressing youth at Nagla Chandra Bhan village, the birth place Deen Dayal Upadhyaya.

"Unemployment was the greatest challenge, however, present government is trying to provide employment, even to the person who is last in the queue in society," Singh said at the village, about 25 kms from Mathura.

He also said that the Centre has come up with Mudra Bank to make unemployed youth "self reliant".

Highlighting the role of youth in pre and post Independence India, Singh said that no other country in the world has such vast youth power.

"Without youth no country can win a war. India could get freedom due to contribution of youth," Singh.

The Union minister also remembered the contribution of Chandra Shekhar Azad and Ashfaqulla Khan in freedom struggle.

"While Azad preferred to kill himself instead of being killed by the bullets of Britishers, Ashfaqulla remained bachelor in spite of insistence of marriage by his mother. He finally chose to wed fansi ka fanda(gallows)," Singh said.

The Union Home Minister took exception to raising of Pakistan and terror outfit IS's flags by some youths in the Kashmir Valley.

He said that the state government will take strict action against those breaking the law. Singh also said that India was trying to maintain cordial relations with the neighbouring countries.
