New Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party appears to have edged ahead of the BJP in the Delhi assembly elections with the AAP projected to win within a seat range of 31-39, with BJP following with 27-35.

The exit poll, conducted by IndiaTV-CVoter till 3 pm today, has an F2F sample size of randomly selected 20,000+ respondents interviewed today in randomly selected polling booths across 70 assembly segments, according to C-Voter that conducted the poll.

The Congress, which ruled Delhi for 15 years at a stretch, has been projected to win within a range of only 2-4. It had won 8 seats in 2013. 'Others' have been projected to win within a range of 0-2 seats, says the exit poll.

In the December 2013 assembly polls, BJP had won 31 seats, AAP 28, Congress 8 and Others 3.

In vote share projections, the IndiaTV-CVoter exit poll projects 42 pc voteshare for AAP, followed by 40 pc for BJP, 11 pc for Congress and 7 pc for 'Others.

In the December 2013 assembly polls, BJP had got 33 pc votes, followed by AAP with 29 pc, Congress 25 pc and 'Others' 13 pc.

The exit poll will be updated after final trends are collected on completion of polling today at 6 pm.
