Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to embark on two-day historic visit to the neighbouring nation Bangladesh today. During his 36-hour stay there, several agreements between the two countries will be signed, especially in the field of connectivity and trade.

The Prime Minister's visit comes a month after the government successfully resolved the 41-year-old dispute over the 4,000-km shared border between India and Bangladesh.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will accompany Modi in Bangladesh.

Here is the complete schedule of PM's 36 hour visit to Bangladesh:

June 6:

PM Modi will arrive in Dhaka in the morning, where he will receive a ceremonial welcome.

He will then visit the National Martyrs' Memorial.

From there, the Prime Minister will go to the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum.

PM Modi, along with his Bangladeshi counterpart Sheikh Hasina, will flag off two bus services: Shillong-Dhaka-Guwahati and Kolkata-Dhaka-Agartala

PM Modi and Hasina will later hold talks and sign several agreements.

There will then be a ceremony for the exchange of instruments of gratification of the Land Boundary Agreement (LBA).

Bangladeshi PM will host a dinner for Modi at night.

June 7

PM Modi will visit the Dhakeshwari National temple, the Ramakrishna Mission and the new chancery complex in Dhaka.

He will meet the Bangladesh President, Abdul Hamid over lunch.  

Modi will interact with Bangladeshis at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center before leaving for New Delhi.
