New Delhi: Congress today charged that BJP and AAP were playing “politics of hoardings and posters” at a time when the residents of Delhi are worried about the “deteriorating law and order situation” in the national capital.

The party also vowed to expose the misdeeds of BJP and AAP even as it announced the launch of the fourth phase of its ‘Jan Jagran Abhiyan', which will see it holding rallies in various areas of west Delhi.

“The law and order situation in Delhi has deteriorated and people are living in constant fear. The rising cases of rape and other crimes have made the people numb with fear,” said Congress spokesperson Mukesh Sharma.  “The party will hold three ‘Bhanda Phod' rallies as part of the fourth phase of its Jan Jagran Abhiyan at Mohan Garden and Om Vihar Phase-II in the Uttam Nagar Assembly constituency on Sunday where Sajjan Kumar would be the speaker,” he said.

Accusing BJP and the AAP of playing “politics of hoardings and posters”, Sharma said that these parties displaying “financial clout” was not helping the people of Delhi.  “BJP and AAP are playing politics through the medium of hoardings and posters on the strength of their financial clout. Such politics is not helping the people of Delhi in any way,” he said.

Congress, meanwhile, announced its list of candidates today for upcoming elections in eight wards of the Delhi Cantonment Board.
