New Delhi, Jul 4: For the first time after Narendra Modi's elevation as the chairman of BJP's election campaign committee, the party's parliamentary board met today in the national capital.

Both Narendra Modi and L K Advani are attending the parliamentary board meeting. Modi is expected to share his plans for the 2014 election campaign.

Once Modi lays out the blueprint, the parliamentary board will discuss and approve it. The approval of the plan will mean that Modi will not require approval from the parliamentary board – the apex body of the party that consists of 12 members – for every new initiative.

Modi will get the authority for micro-managing the election campaign.

The presence of both Modi and Advani is significant in view of the fact that Advani had expressed his reservations over Modi's elevation as the chief of party's election campaign committee.

Advani had in fact resigned from three important party positions and an embarrassed party leadership had to assure him that going forward, he will be consulted on every major decision .  Advani had withdrawn his resignation but is still sulking over his marginalization in the party.
