Reacting to the opposition’s demand for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s presence during debate over 'demonetisation' in Parliament, BJP MP Babul Supriyo today said that there is no need for ‘daddy’ (PM Modi) to come when 'little kids' (BJP MPs) can answer the questions.

“Jab chote bache hi inka jawab de sakte hai toh ‘Daddy’ ko aane ki kya zarurat hai?” the BJP MP from Asansol said.

Both houses of the Parliament could not function on the fourth consecutive day as opposition parties demanded Prime Minister’s presence in the Parliament during debate on demonetisation.

They also demanded Rs 10 lakh compensation to the kin of each of the 70 persons who lost their lives post-demonetisation.

CPI(M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury told media persons that his party was examining options of moving contempt notice against the Prime Minister.

Demanding the Prime Minister’s presence in the Rajya Sabha, BSP supremo Mayawati said: "He should come and listen to the pain people have faced because of his decision."

Leader of the Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad said that the opposition is ready for discussion on ‘demonetisation’ but the Prime Minister should come to the House first.
