Pressure is building on Narendra Modi government from within the BJP to take ground action against Pakistan after Uri attacks that led to the death of 18 Indian soldiers.

Senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy today said that such an action will help in getting rid of the usual India-Pakistan hyphenation in diplomatic circles.

“In the dealing verbally with Pak we should guard against the danger of India-Pak hyphenation. Solid action on ground can avoid that,” Swamy tweeted today.

Swamy’s tweet comes hours after India sharply reacted to Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif’s speech at United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) meeting in which he tried to shore up support from international community on its Kashmir stand.

Even United Nations General secretary Ban Ki-moon also rejected Islamabad’s repeated pleas seeking UN intervention on Kashmir and advised Pakistan to resolve the dispute bilaterally with India.

On Wednesday, Swamy had tweeted about what it means to being prepared for war.

“Being prepared for war means: War aims, priorities of the aims, strategy of war, and human, financial & natural resource mobilization,” Swamy had tweeted.
