Mumbai stockbroker's son jumps to death from 19th floor after tiff with ex-girlfriend

Mumbai, Jun 10: Dhwanil Shroff, son of a Mumbai stockbroker Kamlesh Shroff, allegedly jumped to his death from the 19th floor of Woodlands Apartment on Peddar Road late on Saturday night.






The 20-year old youth had gone to a party hosted by his friend Jahnavi Goyal at her home, where he reportedly had a tiff with his ex-girlfriend , who had come from London, sources said.

There were seven boys and four girls at the party which began at around 11 pm.

A late night card gome was on, when Dhwanil suddenly asked Jahnavi where kitchen was.

He went to bring something from the kitchen, but friends at the party soon heard a loud thud. Dhwanil had jumped from the kitchen window and had fallen 19 floors below on the ground.

Sources said, Dhwanil had a tiff with his ex-girlfriend, who had returned from London to join the party at Jahnavi's home.



Senior police inspector Sudhir Beknadkar of Malabir Hill police station refused to speculate, saying that the probe was on.



Police said, Dhwanil was drunk at the party. His friends are being questioned.
