Peshawar: Angry parents of schoolchildren killed by Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan terrorists today prevented Pakistani politician Imran Khan from entering the Army Public School.

Imran Khan, head of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) however entered the school through a separate entrance gate. "Go, Imran Go", shouted the parents.

Imran Khan, accompanied by his newly wed wife Reham Khan, a popular TV anchor, was forced to return from the main gate when the grieving parents of schoolchildren killed in the massacre, shouted slogans and tried to prevent him from entering the school.

"We do not need anyone, whether it's Imran Khan or Nawaz Sharif", a protester said asking Imran not to politicize the Peshawar attack.

A weeping mother said: "You (Imran) were busy getting married without doing anything about my child, who died less than a month ago".

Another parent complained that Imran Khan deserted the grieving relatives when they needed him the most. Peshawar is the capital of Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa province, where the state government is run by Imran Khan's party.

Another parent said: "Imran Khan came after one month to visit our school, because he was busy with his wedding".

A PTI leader said the protest was politically motivated and the party would soon expose those behind today's incident.

Meanwhile, in Islamabad, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid said, Imran had to face today the same style of protest in which he had been engaging for the past several months.

"It was Imran who introduced people to chants like Go, Sharif Go. Now he is facing the music", said Pervaiz Rashid.
