  • The team comprised four officers, two Junior Commissioned officers, seven officers of other ranks, two lady instructors and 10 NCC girls.

  • The trek started on April 4 from a village called Jiri in Nepal and reached the base camp on April 21. Team had 2 girls from Leh, 2 from Manipur, 1 from Darjeeling 2 from Uttarakhand and 1 from Rajasthan and Mizoram each.

  • It is known that The National Cadet Corps (NCC) girls’ expedition to Mount Everest, which was flagged-off by Union Minister of State for Defence Rao Inderjit Singh on March 9, 2016 reached the base camp of Everest in Nepal on April 21. They scaled the Mount Everest for the first time on May 21 and 22.
