Oh, Spooky! Visit these eight haunted places in Delhi on next Amavas Ki Raat!

If you happen to be in Delhi , you should totally visit these places at least once. We are not saying you'll find a ghost, but you never know, you might!

  • It’s Delhi and that is what Delhi is. A history of a city that can truly be called the city of Djinns, because, well, that is insane, and that is Delhi. The city holds the promise of shaping the dreams of many into a living reality. But there is a different side of the story which you can see when you flip the coin. Delhi is also the place where you would be able to see some chilling stories. In case you're as brave and have a strong heart, and you happen to be in Delhi, you should totally visit these places at least once. We are not saying you'll find a ghost, but you never know, you might!

  • Jamali Kamali Mosque and Tomb is located near Mehrauli. Renowned Sufi saints Jamali and Kamali were buried here in 1535. People have said that they heard voices near the graves - even in broad daylight!

  • Delhi Cantonment - Legend has it that in this area of South-West Delhi, a charming middle-aged woman in white sari asks people for a lift. It is said that when people tried to press the accelerator to run away, they found the same figure in pristine white racing abreast with their vehicle quite comfortably.

  • Dwarka Sector 9 Metro Station - 
Just outside the entrance to the metro station, people have reportedly been overcome by a barrage of inexplicable energy thrust upon them all of a sudden.

  • Also called Bloody Gate or Laal Darwazaa, it is a place near Delhi Gate where the three surviving sons of Bahadur Shah Zafar were executed by the British in front of the public. It is said that there spirits still linger about this place but they don’t cause any disturbance to the Indians, but strange things have happened to foreigners who’ve paid a visit to this place.

This 14th century structure located near the Delhi Ridge, Jhandewalan belongs to the Tuglaq era. It was built on a hunting lodge for the Tuglaq rulers. There are rumours of strange sounds being heard here, especially after darkness falls.

  • Sanjay Van - 
This ten kilometre stretch of forest near Vasant Kunj is inhabited by spirits of children who can routinely be seen bawling each other, some trespassers have said. Wanderers who sometimes happen to stumble inside the forest often complain of an unsettling voice beckoning to them.

  • House Number W-3, Greater Kailash - 
It is said that years ago, an aged couple was murdered in this house, and their bodies were later found in the water tanks. The house lies abandoned now. Various sounds ranging from sobs to screams emerge from the house as reported by the neighbours.

A river which gulps down all those who dare to go inside its conspiring waters. While logic dictates that these deaths are probably unfortunate accidents or suicides, one can never be sure what lurks in the darkness.
