Malini and Dharmendra did their first film Sharafat together in 1970. They got married in 1979.

At the time they got married, Dharmendra was already married with whom he had sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol.

With Hema Malini, he has two kids, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol.

Daughter Esha Deol also took to Instagram to wish her daddy dear on his birthday. She shared a black and white picture of her superstar dad with an emotional caption.

In her recently released Biography, Beyond The Dream Girl, Hema Malini opened up about her relationship with husband Dharmendra. She said she never thought of marrying him initially.

Dharmendra was awarded with Padma Bhushan in 2012.
