Seoul: US Vice President Joe Biden has rejected China's self-declared Air Defense Identification Zone in the East China Sea.
Biden said that Washington does not accept China's new air defense zone over disputed islands in the East China Sea.
This statement came from Biden on Friday while delivering speech speech at South Korea's Yonsei University.
Joe Biden is in South Korea on the third leg of his trip to East Asia.
Biden said “I was absolutely clear on behalf of my President: We do not recognize this zone,” Biden said during a speech at Yonsei University in Seoul. “It will have no effect on American operations. Just ask my general. None. Zero.”
China defends its decision, saying it's in line with international law.
