Hong Kong: A 118-carat oval diamond was sold for more than $30 million at Sotheby's jewelry auction in Hong Kong.
The diamond was discovered in South Africa and was mined and cut two years ago. It was weighed 299 carats when it was found in the rough in 2011.It is the largest and most significant such diamond graded by the Gemological Institute of America.
