Vatican City: A 51-year-old Italian man set himself on fire on St Peter's Square in a rare event on the famous esplanade.
The man works as a cleaner in a nearby Vatican-run hospital.
He set himself on fire after a major family dispute. The man was taken to a near by hospital by police officials here .He is reported to have serious burn to the upper part of his body.
Police officials informed that before setting self on fire the man left a note with the contact number of his daughter on the ground.
