New Delhi: A new book "The Loudest Voice in the Room" has revealed that Fox News chief Roger Ailes offered a raise to a female employee in exchange for sex.
The book will be published by Random House on Jan. 21. This book promises to provide an extremely controversial new look at Fox News from New York Magazine contributing editor Gabriel Sherman.
Sherman drew on more than 600 interviews with “people who've known Ailes” in his reporting. That includes interviews with “hundreds of Fox News insiders.”
Former employees cited in the book talked of Ailes's volatile temper and domineering behavior.
In one anecdote, a television producer, Randi Harrison, told Sherman that while negotiating her salary with Ailes at NBC in the 1980s, he offered her an additional $100 each week “if you agree to have sex with me whenever I want.”
Fox News denied the charges against Ailes, according to The Times.
