The earthquake struck 300 km 180 miles east of Iwaki, Honsh.

An earthquake of magnitude 6.3 has hit Japan near Fukushima nuclear plant, according to United States Geological Survey.

According to reports, the quake struck 300 km (180 miles) east of Iwaki, Honshu, at a depth of 77.8 km.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
