Hyderabad: How will you react when you will see an ATM machine raining cash? For a moment you will be surprised! Literally, it rained at an ATM centre in S. R. Nagar on Friday night when three friends went to withdraw Rs. 200.
Shaik Lateef, Prasad and Hari had gone to the State Bank of Hyderabad ATM centre at S. R. Nagar to withdraw the money. When Lateef inserted his ATM card in the machine and pressed the button of the cash withdrawal, suddenly the door of the ATM machine opened and currency worth Rs. 1.5 lakh rolled out on the ground.
The trio was shocked as they found the huge sum of money landing at their feet. They then immediately alerted the police control room by dialling 100. The team on the tip- off from S. R. Nagar police station rushed to the spot and collected the cash.
“On inspection we found another Rs. 24 lakh in the machine,” N. Shankar, Detective Inspector, S. R. Nagar said. As luck would have it, there was no security guard at the ATM centre.
