Coimbatore, TN, Mar 27: Over 40 Tamil students on Tuesday staged a noisy protest outside the local Airtel office alleging that the service provider had provided financial and technical support to Sri Lankan governent in its move to "wipe out" Sri Lankan Tamils.




The protesters, most of them law students, called on people in Tamil Nadu to boycott Airtel services and switch over to other networks. They alleged there were several other corporates who had supported the Sri Lankan governent during the war against LTTE.

The protesters demanded that Sri Lankan president Mahinda Rajapaksa be declared a war criminal and a referendum should be carried out on separate Eelam state in Sri Lanka.
