Mumbai: The ongoing investigation into sensational Sheena Bora murder case took new turn today when Mumbai Police sought the financial details of Mukerjea family.

Media reports claimed that police has written to banks seeking details of accounts of former media honcho Peter Mukerjea and his wife Indrani Mukhejea.

Police has also approached the registrar of the companies to extract the details of the company owned by Peter.

Reports further suggested that police is considering to write to authorities in Britain and Spain asking them to provide the details of Peter and Indrani's bank accounts in their countries.

The latest move by Mumbai Police came after Indrani, Peter and Sanjeev Khanna, another accused in the case, were grilled by the police till late Thursday night.

Indrani, according to police, yesterday confessed to her role in the heinous crime. After this, police said that Peter will be made a key witness against her in the case.

Meanwhile, Sheena's biological father, Siddharth Das, has been brought to Khar Police station here for interrogation.

The high profile murder case has been in news from last few days because of repeated twists and turns.

Sheena was allegedly murdered by Indrani, her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna and driver Shyam Rai in 2012. She was 24 at the time of her death.
