Kaithal: A journalist was killed and two of his associates were seriously injured in a road mishap at Kultaran village near here when their car was following the police cavalcade of the arrested ‘godman', police said today.
The mishap took place when the television crew of a private channel was following the police cavalcade that was behind controversial self styled ‘godman' Rampal's ambulance after his arrest last night from Barwala in Hisar district and being brought to Panchkula.
The car in which the TV crew was travelling hit a buffalo on the road following which the driver allegedly lost control over the vehicle, police said.
The deceased had been identified as Shivam Bhatt of Zee media group and the injured Rohit and Jaiveer are serious and have been hospitalised, police said.
