Mumbai: Mumbai traffic police is has sought advanced equipments from the Director General of Police to conduct alcohol tests of drunken drivers, with Christmas and New Year approaching.
The new gadgets can record the location of a nakabandi (barricading), can take a photograph and also provide a colour printout with the exact breath alcohol concentration. All these will make it difficult for the case to be contested in court later by traffic offenders.
Mumbai Police has sought 92 new generation breath analyzers and 18 advanced speed guns.The state DGP is yet to provide the equipments.
