New Delhi, Feb 10: Top level intelligence sources have revealed that Lashkar-e-Toiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed commanders have joined hands to carry out a major terror strike inside India.

Post-Afzal execution, a top-level meeting of LeT and JeM commanders was held in Saidpur, Rawalpindi on Saturday, attended by Pak spy agency ISI Major Noor Hasan, say intelligence reports.

The Let and JeM commanders have reportedly alerted their militants down the line in Lolab, Sopore and Baramulla in Kashmir to carry out a big strike.

Intelligence agencies intercepted a call from Tower 146 in Pak Occupied Kashmir in which the caller asked his men to be ready "to receive some guests and make all arrangements to serve them".

Intelligence experts believe that the terror strike could be at any place in the metros of Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Jaipur  and other cities of Gujarat, UP and Karnataka.

Al Qaeda's help has also been sought to carry out a strike at any Indian airport. Pak-American citizen Qamruddin, linked to Al Qaeda has been selected among seven to nine persons tasked for the job by Lashkar-e-Taiyyaba, says the intelligence report.

This group has been under training for the last three months in Bahawalpur of Pak Punjab.  Some of the terrorists haild from Balochistan and others from Pakhtoon Khwa.

Mohammed Mohiuddin Iqbal of Indian Mujahideen has also been sounded to activate his sleeper cells.

Meanwhile, Lashkar-e-Toiba on Saturday warned of attacks against India to avenge the execution of Afzal Guru in Tihar jail. “India will have to pay for this act”, Lashkar spokesman Abdullah Ghaznavi told media over phone.

Lashkar is presently facing a manpower shortage.   Experts believe Lashkar might try to cash in on this execution to lure more youths to militancy to replenish its fast depleting ranks.
