Mumbai: Groups of men and women wearing black dotted the street near Matunga's Maheshwari Garden here on Sunday afternoon with banners and chants, to protest the Supreme Court verdict upholding section 377.
This rally was part of a global movement to speak out against the Supreme Court's decision of criminalizing homosexuality.
Earlier the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) also appealed to the government to make all necessary legislative modifications in Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code to ensure that no one is deprived of human rights, following the Supreme Court's verdict on gay sex.
