Bikaner, Rajasthan, Jan 13: In a late night fire in a nursery in Bikaner's state-owned P B M Hospital, four newly born infants suffered critical burns and were rushed to the ICU.




Other newborn infants were immediately shifted to other wards.

The fire took place in the nursery ward, and hospital staff began shifting the infants.  Patients from nearby wards were also evacuated.

The condition of the four infants who got burns is said to be critical.

District collector said, the condition of all infants admitted to the nursery ward is being verified.

Sources said, the fire took place because of an electrical short circuit, and the infants  developed breathing problems after inhaling smoke.
