"The total number of applicants who registered online till 5.30 PM today is 1,13,278 of which 52,479 have made the payments," said Malay Neerav, Joint Dean of Student Welfare.

The online registrations, which opened on May 28 and will continue till June 15, today included 36,118 applications in General category, 10,493 Other Backward Castes, 4,799 Scheduled Castes, 987 Scheduled Tribes and 110 PWD (Persons With Disability) applicants, he said.

No technical glitches were reported during the process, Neerav added.

The varsity's pre-admission counselling session 'Open-Days', which was supposed to conclude today, was not held in view of DU's 92nd convocation.

The final session will now be held on June 1 at the conference centre in varsity's North Campus.

Centralised Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) forms are available on the university website - www.du.ac.in - and students will have to make the payment through internet banking.

The fee for General category students is Rs 100 whereas for reserved category students the admission form will cost Rs 50.

The online registration process will continue till June 15 while offline forms will be accepted at the nine registration centres (colleges) from June 5 to June 15.

The eight registration centres where offline forms will be accepted are Atma Ram Sanatan Dharm College, Dyal Singh College, Gargi College, Maharaja Agrasen College, PG DAV College, Rajdhani College, Shyam Singh College and SGTB Khalsa College.

The first cut-off list will be released by DU on June 25.  There will be a total of seven cut-off announcements. Further cut-off announcements will be made depending on availability of seats, university officials said.
