New Delhi, Apr 10: More and more facts are stumbling out of the closet, as Delhi Police investigators probe deep into the relationships that Delhi builder-cum-politician Deepak Bhardwaj had with his women friends.

Police sources said, Bhardwaj had relationships with three women - a 30-year-old woman who managed a real estate office in Delhi's posh Greater Kailash-I area, another woman in Haridwar, where Bhardwaj was developing a residential property, and a third woman who worked at the Shiksha Mandir school, which he had left for his wife and sons.

The woman employee is GK-I, investigators said, was close both to the 62-year-old builder and his younger son Nitesh, who, it now appears, gave the 'supari' for the killing of his father.

Since a fortune worth billions of rupees was at stake, the most expensive 'supari' in Delhi's recent history, Rs 5 crore, was given by Nitesh to the conspirators and killers, police said.

Deepak Bhardwaj owned assets worth more than Rs 600 crores in Delhi and Haridwar.

Nitesh has told investigators that he feared that his father would divorce his mother, Ramesh Kumari,  and give his woman friend a substantial chunk of the property.

Nitesh, who has a Canadian passport, and his mother Ramesh Kumari were being constantly humiliated by Bhardwaj, the son told investigators.

It was Nitesh who appeared to be the most active and saddest individual at his father's funeral, police said, but investigators became suspicious when Nitesh, who is a Purdue University graduate, insisted on returning to Canada in a hurry.

It was then that the investigators probed into his call detail records, which revealed his frequent conversations with the lawyer Baljit Singh Sehrawat, and the can of worms fell open.
