Jabalpur, Jul 5: In a rare case, a 9-year-old boy with double penetration of a trident (trishul) survived in Jabalpur after a marathon surgery.

Aditya Raj met with the accident while playing near a temple outside his house. The trident  had entered from his back and come out through the abdomen.

His parents and family members rushed from one hospital to another but none gathered courage to operate the boy until they met Dr. Pradyumna.

After a thorough examination, Dr. Pradyumna and his team conducted a surgery.

It was an hour-long surgery the ‘Trishul' was taken out with the help of a neurosurgeon to ensure that no harm is caused to the nerves.

Aditya is doing well as far as surgery is concerned. However, he cannot be termed completely out of danger.
