Poonch, J&K, Aug 1: A total bandh was observed in Poonch town on Wednesday to mourn the death of an Amarnath yatra pilgrim, who was injured in stoning near Avantipora in Kashmir valley.
The pilgrim, hailing from Sunderbani town, was in a Yatra convoy bus whn some miscreants threw stones at the bus. One of the stones hit the pilgrim, and he later succumbed to injuries.
The bandh call was given by the local unit of Vishwa Hindu Parishad.
