Ammu, known to be a history sheeter and involved in several criminal activities, was rushed to the Thane civil hospital where he was declared brought dead late last night.

The friends and relatives of the deceased, however, alleged that he died due to negligence of the doctors.

They then ransacked the hospital and assaulted those who were present there.
