New Delhi: Gearing up for the DU Students' Union polls, ABVP released its manifesto, proposing the restructuring of the science courses and AICTE's approval for B-Tech courses.

ABVP promised to revamp the science courses with the help of academicians from DU, IITs, NITs and industry leaders.

The students' organisation also pitched AICTE's approval for B-Tech courses being taught at Delhi University.

Ensuring the safety of the girls at the colleges, it promised to start helpline numbers and self defence courses.

ABVP has also included the implementation of a Women Development Cell in its manifesto.

Hostel and accommodation remained the top priorities like every year in the manifesto with promises being made for better hostels and implementation of the room rent control act for the students residing near the campus.

ABVP's state secretary Saket Bahuguna said that they would fight for building new hostels for postgraduate and research students and provide better facilities to the outstation students.

ABVP also promised the better infrastructure for the university with water coolers in every 200 metres of the colleges and proper sanitation.

ABVP was also keen to set up modernised and state of the art labs and equipments along with computer facilities with Internet at the campus.
