Mumbai, Feb 7: 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks handler Sayyed Zabiuddin Ansari alias Abu Jundal has been shifted to Ajmal Kasab's bomb-proof and bullet-proof cell inside Arthur Road Jail.
Abu Jundal was brought from Delhi's Tihar jail and shifted to Arthur Road jail jail on Tuesday evening.
Abu Jundal has been placed in yard number 12, the same yard once occupied by Ajmal Kasab.
The yard, which comprises four cells, cost over Rs 5.70 crore to build.
IG (prisons) Vinod Lokhande said, “Jundal was moved to Arthur Road Jail on Tuesday evening. We have put in place security arrangements almost equivalent to what Kasab had been given.”
