Fatehpur: One person was today killed and another seriously injured when a crude bomb exploded near Sangaon village under Sadar Kotwali police station area here, police said.
Two teenagers were carrying crude bombs in a bag attached to their motorcycle when one of the bombs exploded when they were negotiating a speed-breaker, Additional Superintendent of Police Arvind Misra said.
As the bomb exploded, the police rushed to the site. One of the two boys, Gaurav Gupta (16) died on the spot. While the other youth Monu Gupta (17) suffered from serious injuries. He was immediately rushed to the hospital in Kanpur.
