Delhi Smog: Ayushmann Khurrana shares the video of a machine, that converts smog into ‘diamonds’

Bollywood celebrities including Varun Dhawan, Taapsee Pannu and Ayushmann Khurrana have expressed their dismay over degrading air quality in Delhi. This happened after the national capital saw itself canopied in a thick blanket of smog earlier this week. The PM 2.5 concentration of the city shot up beyond the safety levels, beating the likes of Beijing, China. Stressing over the issue, the Shubh Mangal Saavdhan actor posted a gimmicky version of Dum Laga Ke Haisha poster. The poster was improvised with pollution masks superimposed on Bhumi and his face.

Later on Saturday, he posted a video giving a viable solution to the smog apocalypse in Delhi. Watch the video here.

The video talks about a device called smog precipitator, used by Beijing, which is one of the most polluted city in the world. The tower-like machine sucks the smog and turns it into diamonds. It sucks up 30,000 metre cube of smog per hour, cleans it on nano level and use very less electricity. Every month the channels of the device open up and clean the air.

The masterminds behind the device utilised the concept that carbon under high pressure turn into diamonds. So inspired by it, the makers used the machine to compress the smog and turn them into something valuable like diamonds!

Citing the present scenario, India needs a device like this.
