New Delhi: Ionic American fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger is on India visit.
On the evening of Sep 27, Hilfiger hosted the Tommy Hilfiger brand's official 10th anniversary celebration event at The Leela Palace in the capital.
The celebration had some of biggest names from the fashion industry including Sonam Kapoor, Manish Malhotra, J.J Valaya and others.
Grammy Award winner Estelle performed for the very first time in India at the anniversary celebration where she sang her international chart-topping hit songs “American Boy” and “Do My Thing”.
Bollywood personalities, socialites, politicians and other important dignitaries were also present at the do.
Hilfiger's official tour of India began from Sep 26 in the capital, with an exclusive VIP dinner hosted by Indian philanthropist and patron of the arts, Feroze Gujral, at her private residence.
The following day, the ace designer attended a press event at the Tommy Hilfiger Select Citywalk store with Bollywood actress and fashionista Sonam Kapoor.
The 10th year celebration hosted by the ace designer has all the rays of fashion, style and galmour.
The style Goddess of Bollywood, Sonam Kapoor gave voguish appearances for both party and press meet. Sonam was seen wearing a silk halter maxi.
The backless maxi made her look more staggering. Keeping her hair down and straight with middle-partition, Sonam looked every bit of chic.
To add contrast to her look, the lady was seen wearing a blue eye-shadow. Well, no one other than Sonam could have carried the look so well.
For the press meet over 10 years' celebration of Tommy Hilfiger in India, Sonam was seen in Tommy Hilfiger from head to toe. She chose a black jumpsuit for the occasion. The sleek hairdo, red lips and gold choker completed her look. There is no second thought that she looked stunning.
The next who was caught at the celebration was Dipannita Sharma. Wearing a brick pattern Urvashi Joneja dress, Dipannita looked chic with sleek ponytail. She completed her look with black pumps and clutch.
The other personalities seen were Archana Vijaya, Manish Malhotra, J J valaya and others.
To commemorate the brand's milestone in the country, and to honour the country's long tradition of celebratory dress, two exclusive limited-edition designs will be introduced: a shawl for women and a traditional men's bandi.
These iconic Indian garments have been reinterpreted with Hilfiger's signature twist.
The limited edition designs will be available exclusively at selected Tommy Hilfiger stores across India starting Sep 24.
The first Tommy Hilfiger store in the country opened in April 2004 at Bangalore's Forum Mall.
On Sep 28, he will travel to Mumbai as the final destination of the tour. There, he will attend a private event.
