New Delhi: Sidharth-Shraddha-Riteish starrer ‘Ek Villain' is enjoying a rock-steady week at box office with an expected slight fall in following days.

The musical revenge saga on its sixth day i.e., on Wednesday managed decent footfalls in theatres. Though, started on a slow note but picked up the momentum in the evening and the night shows particularly in multiplexes thereby making an impressive Rs 6.40 cr by the end of the day.

The six days total now stands at Rs 72 cr nett in domestic market. The flick is just short of the lifetime collection of Ranveer-Priyanka-Arjun starrer ‘Gunday' (76.55 cr) which must be surpassed by today.

“EkVillain Wknd 50.70 cr, Mon 8.10 cr, Tue 6.80 cr, Wed 6.40 cr. Total: Rs 72 cr nett. India biz. Aiming for Rs 77 cr+ Week 1. HUMONGOUS!”, tweets trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh.

Ek Villain leaving behind other big grossers of the year like Humshakals (Rs 61.05* cr) Main Tera Hero' (Rs 55 cr), ‘Heropanti' (Rs 53.40 cr) and Queen (Rs 61 cr), is eyeing on the Rs 100 cr club flicks namely Jai Ho, 2 States and Holiday.

This Friday its going to be Vidya Balan's ‘Bobby Jasoos' and debutant Armaan Jain's ‘Lekar Hum Deewana Dil' hitting the screens which is surely going to slower down Ek Villain's box office run.

This is third straight hit for director Mohit Suri after Murder 2 and Aashiqui 2 while for Riteish Deskhmukh, who for the first time went out of his comfort zone of comedy and played an antagonist, this flick is considered as a game changer.
